Meditation 101 - a six week program
Join us and develop your own personal meditation practice with the support you need to work out the kinks and develop a habit you can stick with. You will experience and practice a variety of meditation practices and breathing techniques that support meditation. Experience how meditation can change your everyday life, improve your mental health, reduce physical stress, strengthen relationships and transform your spiritual life.
Meditation has been a part of spiritual traditions for thousands of years. Is this practice just for Himalayan Yogis and Tibetan Monks? Or is there something here for YOU too? Modern scientific research is now showing the amazing benefits that meditation can bring to our everyday lives, improving our mental health, reducing our physical stress, strengthening our relationships and even transforming our spiritual lives.
In this 6-week course you will develop, or strengthen, your own personal meditation practice with the support you need to work out the kinks and develop a habit you can stick with. Learn the spiritual and philosophical roots of meditation and how meditation and mindfulness can transform your inner and outer life. Throughout the course you will experience and practice a variety of meditation practices and breathing techniques that support meditation.
Each class will include guided meditation, lecture, experientials and optional group sharing.
